Hello Ho-Bo! We adopted Jackson (FKA Wishbone) from Ho-Bo Care on March 29th, 2008. Since then, our home has been filled with love that only a boxer can provide. Jackson is a one-year old reverse brindle male. His personality fits the description on his PetFinder.com page to a tee - he is such a happy boy who's eyes are filled with joy and hopefulness...and when his tail wags, his whole body wags 100 miles an hour! We have truly enjoyed falling in love with him, he is our fur kid. Jackson enjoys morning walks, picnics in the park, chasing his tail, and attempting to catch squirrels. He's great with other dogs, and already has several fur friends. One of our favorite things about Jack-O is the funny faces he makes, he even does an Elvis impression. Renee, Marita and team at Ho-Bo Care were extremely helpful, caring, and passionate about the breed. They matched us perfectly with Jack, and we couldn't be happier. The attached photo is from Jackson's first hike of the season!

My husband Mike, my doggie Ms. Beasley, and I want to thank Marita for recommending Magnum to us and Hobo Care for being there and taking care of Magnum and so many other beautiful dogs. We adopted him yesterday (Sunday, April 6) and we instantly fell in love with this dog. He is a perfect fit for Ms. Beasley and our home. We gave him a bath yesterday, brushed him out real good, filled him up, kissed him a million times and he finally fell asleep - snoring !! We have already taken him on walks and given him his choice of doggie beds and rooms to sleep. I've attached a couple of pictures of him in his new home. He is very happy and we love him to pieces !!! As you can see, he's put on a couple of pounds. Thank you, Hobo Care...

We recently adopted Ryka (f/k/a Ginger), a female boxer, from HO-BO Care. She is an absolutely wonderful dog and addition to our family. Thanks to everyone at HO-BO Care, and especially Marita, for doing an incredible job of pairing a loving Boxer with her family. Please find attached a few recent photos of Ryka in her new coat and with Conrad, her favorite boy.

Hello my name is Abby (aka Rosalie) I was adopted in January and now live in a warm and loving home with my bestest friend, Oscar. We play all day, when we are not sleeping on the bean-bags or the window seat. We get to go for walks every day and even get to hike in the hills with our mom and her friends. I was so skinny when they first got me, and now I have regular meals and a warm house to sleep in. I am still a little timid of new people, but am learning to trust humans again. I have lots of toys and new dog friends to play with. I have learned so many new things like sit, lay down, stay, shake, and my new name, and am working on mastering come and heel. I love to look out the windows and see all that is going on in my new neighborhood. I am glad that someone realized what a warm and loving and cuddly dog I can be and took me into their home.

Hi. We wanted to update you on Gunner. We adopted Gunner in September 2007 from HOBO Boxer Rescue. He was moderatly under weight, but has gained about 20 lbs. now and is thriving in our home. He has been a wonderful addition to our family and he is very happy and content. He now shares his life with Maggie, our 2-1/2 year old boxer and Taz our family cat. Maggie and Gunner have become true soulmates and love to play, eat and sleep together. When we first got Gunner we would walk him and he couldn't even go a mile without having to stop and rest several times. Now he can go, go, go. He is the sweetest dog we have ever had and we feel so lucky and blessed to have him with us.

We just wanted hobo to know how greatful we are to have Stryker. We love him very much!! He has plenty of personality and lives for every one of his many walks. He also loves to lay in front of the fire after coming in from the cold. His best chocolate lab friend (Layla,) who lives just down the street, play all the time. Occasionally, when the weather permits he loves to go rollerblading as well. We love having him follow us all around the house, and resting his cute little face in our arms or on our chest when we're lounging on the couch. Thank you so much for making him a great addition to our new home! - Edwin and Audrey

My husband, Jay, and I had been thinking of adding to our doggy family. We are boxer lovers but knew we didn’t want a puppy to start over with. House breaking, chewing, and so on…..WE HAVE ALL BEEN THERE! We started looking on the internet and there he was.

That was it, we were sold. We took all the steps and then went to meet him in Evergreen. Wow, a lot bigger than I thought, but happy and friendly. He also had a big wound on his head and was really skinny. He last owners weren’t very nice. He wasn’t being feed enough and they let another dog attack him! He doesn’t hold any of this against his human family either. So he definatley had to come home with us now. We introduced him to our daughter, Faith, and our boxer

Boy did they hit it off. I was not completely sold, they seemed so wild! I wasn’t sure the “princess”, AKA Sophie, was having fun with such rough play. Um yeah news flash, she was having the time of her life and still is!! It is like they were meant to be with each other and with our family. He is fantastic with our daughter Faith and she just loves him so much. My husband is also glad to finally not be the only “guy” in the house as well. We are so happy to have Jake and he is a great addition to our family.

As for the “rough play” I wasn’t sure that Miss Sophie liked too much, well you tell me if you think she doesn’t like it. She looks pretty happy to me! And they LOVE their human sister Faith! Do you think they all love each other???

Thank you Ho-Bo Boxer Rescue!!!! Truly, The Gearheards- Jay, Jill, Faith, Sophie, and Jake
